Board Members

Meet the Executive Board

The Norcross Soccer Association (NSA) Executive Board along with the Management Committee oversees and administers the affairs of the Association and is charged with maintaining the overall objectives and the financial condition of the Association.

The NSA Executive Board is comprised of the following elected officers: Chairman (appointed each January by a majority vote of the current Board Members), President (also serves as head of the Management Committee), and five officers as follows:

James Welch "It is an exciting time at Norcross Soccer! As President of the association I am fortunate to be involved in all aspects of not only the day-to-day operations with the coaching and administrative staff, but also get to work closely with the other Board members and their various Board Committee volunteers. After about ten years that I have now been a part of NSA, in numerous areas of the association, I can honestly say that we now have the best and most productive soccer programs, the best coaching leadership, the best administrative staff and the best group of dedicated volunteers we have ever had since I have been involved. However, I also must say our success is because of a lot of hard work on the part of many dedicated volunteer members who came before us and some who are still working hard today, all for the benefit of NSA and its membership. It is great to see our organization flourish, and please know that every single player, parent, administrator, coach, referee and volunteers across the board are all the reason. NSA appreciates you all!" - James Welch, President

"By serving on the Board and as Game Scheduler, I now have a better appreciation for what goes on behind the scenes at Norcross Soccer Academy. I am impressed with the number of NSA volunteers as well as the time and care taken to plan and coordinate our operations. I’m really proud to be a part of it all. But what I really appreciate is the team camaraderie that our sons and daughters enjoy, day-after-day, week-after-week, and year-after-year. The friendships that are forged out on the pitch willendure well beyond soccer."- Scott Navin

"My family has called Norcross Soccer "home" for over 13 years.  My two daughters, now 18 and 15 have made their way through the program starting at rec, onto academy and into select.  My husband and I have served in several capacities as well: Rec coach, Field Marshall, concession worker, Academy Administrator, Team Manager, Referee and proud parents.  I am privileged to be a part of such a well organized and strongly lead association whose purpose and goal is to serve our community with a quality soccer experience for boys and girls ages 4 to 18 of all ability levels - while promoting good sportsmanship, friendship and a deeper love for the game.  We’re fortunate to have this great organization and I am honored to serve on the board." - Kristin McEwen
"Norcross has been a very large part of our lives for the last 13 years. Our oldest son, who is now 18 and about to graduate, started at Norcross when he was five years old. At one point, all four of our boys played here; three are still very involved in the sport and we have found a great home at Norcross. Soccer in the United States, and certainly here in Georgia, continues to evolve and to attract more and more kids because it is a “sport for life.” Norcross has always strived to stay on top of this evolution by hiring the best staff and utilizing the many skills and abilities of our volunteer member base. Everyone here at Norcross “gets it” – it truly is about the kids and about providing the best possible place for our kids to excel on and off the pitch. I am privileged to be part of this organization! Go Fury!" - Anne Johnson
