Congratulations to the Kohl’s American Cup Champion U12 Norcross Rangers!
Over the weekend of November 15th, the U12 Rangers, one of NSA’s boys recreational teams, competed in the Kohl’s American Cup in Fayetteville. The U12 Rangers defeated the Columbus Titans by a score of 5 -0 in the white division championship game. Congratulations to the coaches (Art Karalexis, Jeff Beavin, and John Shiptenko) and the players (Dylan Teilhaber, McLean McRae, Christian Beavin, Trevor Dimock, Blake Teilhaber, Jake Shiptenko, Nicky Fee, Haydon Koch, Evan Miller, Alex Timm, Jake Karalexis, and David Savini).
NSA Executive Board Announces New Appointments, Sets Annual General Membership Meeting Date
At their regularly scheduled Board meeting held at 7:00 PM, Sunday, October 26th at the Hilton Hotel in Norcross, the NSA Executive Board accepted the resignation of Board member and 2008 Chairman, Weare Gratwick and then, per the by-laws, unanimously appointed Weare to the position of NSA Secretary-Treasurer to fill the earlier vacated unexpired term of Secretary-Treasurer through 12/31/2008. Weare had been serving as Interim Secretary-Treasurer for the past several months. Under the by-laws, the NSA President shall assume the duties of the Chairman until a new Chairman is selected by the Board, and the Board determined to wait until the new Board convenes in January to elect a 2009 Chairman.
Per the by-laws and by a unanimous vote, the Board then appointed NSA member David McEachern to fill Weare Gratwick’s unexpired term on the Board through 12/31/2009.
The Board also set Tuesday, December 16, 2008 at 7:00 PM at the Norcross Hilton, as the date, time and place of the NSA Annual General Membership Meeting (AGM).
