The Norcross Soccer Association (NSA) Executive Board and the Management Committee oversee and administer the affairs of the Association and are charged with maintaining the overall objectives and the financial condition of the Association.
Always with the best interest of the membership in mind, the NSA Executive Board’s and Management Committee’s objective and duty is to set the short and long-range plans of the Association, to direct the strategies and set policies, procedures and fees of the Association, to be fiscally responsible for the funds of the Association including, but not limited to, controlling any and all expenditures of the Association, to approve or revoke any and all contracts or commitments of the Association, and to administer the day-to-day affairs of the Association through paid employees, contract employees, and volunteers.The Management Committee runs the day-to-day affairs of the Association under the required approvals and authorizations of the Executive Board.
Elected Officers to the Executive Board and Management Committee are members with not less than two years of volunteer service to NSA, and one of these two years of volunteer service must have been completed in the same calendar year that the election is being held. All elected officers of the Executive Board and Management Committee serve a two-year term beginning with the calendar year 1 January through 31 December of the subsequent year following election. Elections for all Executive Board and Management Committee positions are held on a staggered basis.
The Executive Board is comprised of the following elected officers: Chairman (appointed each January from/by current Board Members by majority vote), President (also serves as head of the Management Committee), and five officers. The Management Committee is comprised of the following elected officers and paid staff: President (elected officer), Vice President of Soccer Operations (elected officer), Secretary/Treasurer (elected officer), Executive Director of Coaching (paid staff), and Director of Coaching (paid staff).
Association membership elects the elected officers of the Executive Board and Management Committee at the Annual General Membership (AGM) meeting.
